University Art Gallery

Host to an outstanding schedule of exhibitions and events featuring modern and contemporary art. The gallery is dedicated to education and exposing the community to a broad range within visual art. Hrs: Mon-Fri 11am-4 pm; Thurs 11am-8 pm.

Titzer Art Studios & The Back Gallery

Established in downtown Terre Haute 1996,in 2004. The Titzers have produced work found in many homes/public locations, including “Wheels”, a 4-piece sculpture mounted in the facade of the Michael Simmons Student Activity Center on ISU campus, and “Culvature”, a sculpture currently on loan to Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. The Studio gallery offers the work, in lampworked bead jewelry, sculpture & decorative metals, of artist/owners Karen and Patrick Titzer, as well as many other artists and craftpersons. Additionally, the Studio is also proud to present The Back Gallery, an exhibition space devoted to the presentation of Fine Art and Craft. Open weekly, please call for current hours, extended holiday hours, as well as other information.

Terre Haute Masterworks Chorale

Two concerts are presented in December and April. Rehearsals are held at 7 pm Mondays in the ISU Center for Performing and Fine Arts at 7th & Chestnut Streets.

Terre Haute Community Band

Band comprised of approximately 60 Wabash Valley area amateur and professional musicians. Perform a series of free concerts in the city’s parks throughout the summer.

Sweet Harmony Women’s Barbershop Chorus

An elite singing group comprised of women of all ages and singing experience. New members welcome every Monday at 7 pm.

Sheldon Swope Art Museum

Renovated in 2003, the museum is located in a historic 1901 Italian Renaissance Revival building, and features works from late 19th and early 20th centuries. Collection highlights include works by American artists Edward Hopper, Thomas Hart Benton, Grant Wood, Andy Warhol, and Robert Motherwell. Closed Sun-Mon & national holidays

Rose-Hulman Permanent Art Collection/The Seamon Salon

Located in Hatfield Hall, Collection of Vigo County’s own D. Omer “Salty” Seamon, Hadley Pottery and 19th Century British watercolors. Weekdays 8am-5pm.

Community Theatre of Terre Haute

The theatre is the second oldest non-professional theatre in Indiana, and the only one offering a film series as well as live theatre.

Arts Information Center and Sales Gallery

The art council for a 6-county region in west-central Indiana and east central Illinois. The mission is to promote, support and enhance the arts and cultural activities of the Wabash Valley by providing services to artists and art providers.
