During breakfast hours, the pioneer village and gift shop will be open to visitors.  Maple syrup can be purchased at the Pancake Breakfast, if available.  

The sugar camp at Prairie Creek Park is open throughout February whenever the sap is flowing and the staff is cooking.  Visitors are always welcome.  Call (812) 898-2279 before traveling and staff will tell you if they are cooking. 

Fowler Park is located 7 miles south of I-70 off U.S. 41.  Prairie Creek Park is located 4 miles south of Fowler off U.S. 41.

Michele Norris, an award-winning journalist with more than two decades of experience, has hosted NPR’s newsmagazine All Things Considered, public radio’s longest-running national program, with Robert Siegel and Melissa Block since December 2002. She is also a frequent guest on The Chris Matthews Show on NBC News.

Norris released her first book, “The Grace of Silence: A Memoir,” in 2010, which focuses on how America talks about race in the wake of Barack Obama’s presidential election, and explores her own family’s racial legacy.

Prior to NPR, Norris was a correspondent for ABC News from 1993 – 2002. As a contributing correspondent for the “Closer Look” segments on World News Tonight with Peter Jennings, Norris reported extensively on education, inner city issues, the nation’s drug problem, and poverty. She has also reported for the Washington Post, Chicago Tribune, and Los Angeles Times.

A four-time Pulitzer Prize entrant, Norris has received numerous awards for her work, including the 2010 Alfred I. DuPont-Columbia University Award; the 2009 Journalist of the Year award from the National Association of Black Journalists and the National Association of Black Journalists’ 2006 Salute to Excellence Award, for her coverage of Hurricane Katrina. In 2009 was named one of Essence Magazine’s “25 Most Influential Black Americans.” Norris also earned both an Emmy Award and Peabody Award for her contribution to ABC News’ coverage of 9/11.

This award-winning repertory ensemble presents Shakespeare’s witty farce about two sets of identical twins accidentally separated at birth. One of the bard’s earliest plays, The Comedy of Errors involves a series of wild mishaps based on mistaken identities leading to wrongful attacks, a near-seduction, an arrest, and hilarious schemes. Shakespeare sets all this action in one day and features a recurring theme across the work: blending tragic situations with comedic resolutions and introducing slapstick, puns, and wordplay to delight the audience. Since 1972, “The Acting Company endures as the major touring classical theatre in the United States.”

Tickets for adults range from $23 to $27, while youths/college students are $20.
