Hulman Center is a 10,200-seat multi-purpose arena in Terre Haute, Indiana, USA.[2] Initially named the Hulman Civic-University Center, the facility opened on December 14, 1973.[3] Funded by donations and bond issues after an initial $2.5 million challenge gift from philanthropist Tony Hulman and the Hulman family,[citation needed] it is home to the Indiana State Sycamores basketball team.[2] It has hosted many concerts (including Elvis Presley,[4] Frank Sinatra,[4] Johnny Carson,[5] and John Denver)[6], several NCAA championship events including an NCAA men’s basketball tournament regional and the NCAA men’s gymnastics finals, and the 1979 Missouri Valley Conference men’s basketball tournament title game.!
