RAIN 2014 HEADQUARTERS AND START is at Saint Mary of-the-Woods College in Terre Haute, Indiana

The 160-mile length runs mostly on the Historic National Route 40, an older, divided four-lane road with light traffic and gentle rolling hills. The ride begins at 7am on the campus of St. Mary-of-the-Woods College in Terre Haute, Indiana, and crosses the state to Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana (see map). You should be able to average at least 12 to 14 mph for over 11 hours. All riders must register to participate in RAIN. All riders must be done by 9 pm on Saturday, July 12. Your early registration ensures all rest stops are properly stocked and staffed. Registration fees are non-refundable, so plan appropriately. Your entry fee includes: RAIN t-shirt; rider flag with your number; 5 rest stops: lunch during the ride; food at the finish, and a finish line souvenir.
