TERRE HAUTE, IND. — Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology has captured its first regular season conference baseball championship since 1996 and will host the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament this week.
The Fightin’ Engineers finished the regular season at 27-12 overall and 18-6 in conference play. Rose-Hulman claimed its first conference wide regular season title since 1996 after Franklin swept Anderson 11-0 and 3-2 on Saturday.
Rose-Hulman will face the fourth seed in the HCAC Tournament on Thursday at Art Nehf Field. Anderson and Franklin will square off in the day’s first game. Start times and pairings for the tournament will be published when confirmed.
