Friday, July 11th and Saturday, July 12th, St. Benedict Parish will hold its 17th annual Community Festival at 9th and Ohio Streets in Downtown Terre Haute. Both days, the Community Festival will be open from 5:00 p.m. until Midnight. There will be a $2 admission fee for those 21 and older.
Activities during the regular festival hours include: family games, casino games, food booths, a beer garden, a handmade quilt raffle, 50/50 raffle and a silent auction.
New this year, parishioners sold raffle tickets at the end of 2013 and our church is giving away $25,000 in prize money to lucky ticketholders! Early Bird Drawings started in January where we have given and continue to give away $250 a week! The remaining prize money will be awarded at the festival! Prizes are: 5th Place-$750, 4th Place-$1,000, 3rd Place-$2,000, 2nd Place-$5,000 and the Grand Prize-$10,000!

Friday, Matthew Westerfield will perform from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. He’s a solo artist that performs acoustically. Then, Ellusion will take the stage and entertain the crowd from 8:00 p.m. until Midnight. Expect original songs and covers from this band, but be aware they throw in their original twist too!
As for Saturday’s LIVE entertainment, the festival welcomes Ignition from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. They’ll showcase your favorite classic rock hits! Then, Octane will return to the festival once again! This party band will play your favorite rock, classic rock and pop songs! They’ll play from 8:00 p.m. until Midnight.
The Fleschner, Stark, Tanoos and Newlin Law Firm is also offering those attending the festival FREE cab rides home. This service will be available both nights. For a FREE ride, call Yellow Cab of Terre Haute at (812) 478-5000 and tell them the law firm is picking up the tab as part of their safe and sober program.
